Select tool bits based on the diameter that corresponds to the level of detail required in your design.
Specifications for each tool bit will be provided, allowing you to preview the carving effect by selecting the appropriate tool bits in Vectric software.
The handle diameter follows universal specifications (4mm, 6mm; ER11), making it compatible with cutting tools from other brands.
The lifespan of cutting tools depends on factors such as material hardness, engraving speed, and method. IMCNC recommends recording the usage time of each tool bit to estimate its remaining lifespan effectively.
The primary consumables are the tool bits; other machine components typically experience less wear and can be replaced as needed.
For cutting acrylic, the recommended tool bits are 4025A020 and 4050A020.
This may be due to uneven thickness in the material. If the engraving starting point is set at the thickest part, some areas may not be engraved properly. To resolve this, set the starting point at the thinnest section of the material. Additionally, ensure that the tool bit did not break during the engraving process.
Before engraving, use the CAM software to preview the toolpath. This step allows you to troubleshoot and verify tool parameters by examining the simulated results. Correct tool settings are crucial for achieving consistent and accurate engraving outcomes.
